Can you stop wasps from invading my house or business?

Our treatments will not change the bees and wasps behavior. When it is warm and sunny, it is common for them to fly around homes or businesses as this is normal behavior. During our treatments, we will treat critical and common areas such as eaves, door frames, garage doors, light fixtures, etc. where they try to nest. We will prevent them from creating nests in these areas to help protect your home or business from a bee, hornet or wasp invasion. We will also make you aware of any conditions that may contribute to the nesting activity.

Are winter services necessary?

Every service is critical in protecting your home. There are many people that assume the extreme cold temperatures kill off all the insects. Unfortunately, the cold does not kill them and they survive over the winter. For example, ants use a combination of there body fat and protein they collect before the cold weather hits to survive through the winter. Some pests will go behind the siding where its 15-20 degrees warmer to survive the winter. Our extermination services are just as critical to prevent the pests return the next season. The continued treatments throughout the whole year will help keep unwanted pests under control and away from your property. We have many different seasonal treatment methods which allow us to effectively treat these critical areas in your home or business.

If it rains, is a bug treatment still effective?

Yes, we have a variety of products that can be used during weather changes such as rain. We have products that are specifically made for different types of weather. The weather will not stop us from keeping your pests away!

What areas do you service?

You can find the towns or counties we service on our website here. If you aren’t sure feel free to call us!

Is it necessary to have multiple treatments?

We have found multiple treatments is the most effective way to reduce and minimize pest activity. Just like humans, insects reproduce and go through stages. These treatments disrupt these stages which reduces future activity!

Do hornets die after stinging?

Individual hornets can sting repeatedly; unlike honey bees, hornets and wasps do not die after stinging because their stingers are very finely barbed (only visible under high magnification) and can easily be withdrawn and so are not pulled out of their bodies when disengaging.

What do you do for a bald faced hornet sting?

Baldfaced hornets are aggressive and have no problem attacking. If you are stung, first make sure to remove the stinger if it is still stuck in the affected area with a tweezer. Do not squeeze the stinger, as it can inject more venom. Next, ice the area.

What is covered under the General Pest Control Treatment?

Ants, Earwigs, Spiders, Silverfish, Centipedes, Millipedes and many other bugs are covered. Flying insects such as stink bugs, box elders are covered but not guaranteed. We cover anything that is considered part of the foundation and up to five ft out from the foundation. A bald faced hornet’s nest that is not near the foundation and does not pose a threat is not included.  If there is something that is outside the structure such as an ant hill, we will treat at no additional charge during a monthly, quarterly or bi-monthly treatment and ask that you make us aware at the time of service by telling us or marking it with something. If it is something such as a bald face hornet’s nest in the area, there is an additional cost but we will give you a discounted rate since we are on the premise!  Voles, moles, or any other wildlife such as chipmunks, squirrels, groundhogs, etc are not covered under our General Pest Control Program and are a separate service.

Do you call to notify your customer prior to service?

Yes, we will call at least two days prior and no less than one day to let you know when we will be coming out for your next service or treatment!

Do you treat the interior and exterior on each service or treatment?

After the initial interior service, the rest of the treatments typically consist of an exterior treatment. The exterior is the most critical part of our treatment as every pest or bug comes from the exterior of the house or business. With these consistent exterior treatments, there is no need to treat the interior on every service. If there are any areas of concern, we ask that you make us aware of this at the time of service and we will address the issue.

We will then send a detailed email to let you know of any concerns we might have, what was used and areas that we treated with detail on the time of treatment. On the exterior treatments, there is no specific time frame and the treatments are based on logistics. If you have any pets that are outside or in areas that need to be treated, we will treat the area when your pet has temporarily been removed from the area to ensure their safety.
